Who can use MamaCircle

MamaCircle is intended for adult users only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children are never account holders or users of the app themselves; information about a user's child is entered by the parent, about the parent's own child, solely for the purpose of matching with other parents of similarly-aged children.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, at support@mamacircle.no.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and profile, and not to impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone.

Content you create

You keep ownership of the posts, photos, messages, questions, answers, and articles you create in MamaCircle ("your content"). By posting it, you give Hafmula Group a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating MamaCircle's features (showing it to the other users you've chosen to share it with: a group, a conversation, or the public Q&A forum and knowledge base). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where a copy has already been shared with someone else in a way that can't be retracted (like a message someone has already read).

You're responsible for your own content. Don't post anything that:

• Is false, defamatory, harassing, or intended to harm another user
• Violates someone else's privacy, safety, or legal rights
• Is spam, a scam, or unrelated commercial solicitation
• Constitutes or promotes illegal activity
• Contains someone else's personal information without their consent

Community conduct

MamaCircle exists so mothers can support each other. Treat other members with the same respect you'd want in a real-life mothers' group. In particular, don't use MamaCircle to harass, bully, discriminate against, or threaten anyone. Our Community Guidelines go into more detail on what this looks like in practice.

Reporting and blocking are built into the app for exactly this reason. If you see content or behavior that violates these Terms, please report it.

Moderation, suspension, and termination

We may remove content that violates these Terms, and may suspend or terminate an account that repeatedly or seriously violates them, at our reasonable discretion. Where practical, we'll try to tell you why.

We may also suspend the service, or particular features, for maintenance, security, or legal reasons, with as much advance notice as is reasonably possible.

No warranty

MamaCircle is provided "as is." We do our best to build it well and to fix real problems when they come up, but we don't guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Nothing in MamaCircle (including anything another user posts, or any article in the knowledge base) is medical, legal, or professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional for guidance specific to your situation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hafmula Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of MamaCircle, or from content posted by other users, which we do not control and do not pre-moderate before it's posted. Our total liability for any claim relating to MamaCircle is limited to the amount (if any) you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which for MamaCircle today is zero, since the app is free.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for anything that can't lawfully be limited, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

Changes to these Terms

If we make material changes to these Terms, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify users in the app. Continuing to use MamaCircle after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
